Grief can be traumatic, but therapy shouldn’t be.

Grief isn't a disorder- it’s a fundamental part of being human.

If you're feeling overwhelmed by grief, doubting that life can ever feel normal again, or ready to begin healing but unsure where to start, I'm here for you. I've walked alongside many people from a place of devastation towards healing, and I believe in your capacity to heal too.

About me

Siah-35.jpeg

Hi, I’m Siah, a queer therapist living and working in Brooklyn, NY. I have 9 years of experience working with all sorts of humans, but my specialty is helping folks who have experienced a complicated or traumatic loss.

My Approach

I am a relational therapist, I don’t believe in “fixing” you through the right jedi-mind tricks or TikTok therapy trend. Rather I offer my clients a warm, safe space to ground and connect with their own inner wisdom. Through the therapeutic relationship I hope to help you gain clarity on your goals and feel empowered to pursue them.

I work with theories that are trauma-informed and anti-oppressive. I find that each person is unique and benefits from a custom approach to our work together. I am transparent about my approach and will collaborate with you to integrate tools from mindfulness, psychodynamic, meaning centered and DBT therapies. We can find a balance of structure and discussion that works for you.

Remember,

you're not alone in this. Together, we can navigate your grief and find a path towards healing that honors your loss while helping you move forward.

Warm & authentic style

While much of our work together may involve telling your story and honoring emotions, I offer practical tools and education along the way. I incorporate meaning focused, mindfulness and trauma informed approaches.
